Randle Blesing was appointed the Assistant Chief of Administration on March 30,2013
Chief Blesing came to work for the City of Cedar Park in 1994 as one of the first paid firefighters the City hired. He quickly promoted to Senior Firefighter and then Lieutenant. In 1999, he was promoted to Captain, which was reclassified to Battalion Chief in 2006. Chief Blesing has also served as an Interim Assistant Chief before his promotion to Assistant Chief in March 2013.
Chief Blesing holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Lubbock Christian University, and a Texas Firefighters Certificate from Austin Community College. He is certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as Master Firefighter, Basic Investigator, Basic Inspector, Incident Safety Officer, Fire Service Instructor III, Basic Wildland Firefighter, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Driver Operator. He is Certified as Fire Officer IV by Proboard/TEEX, and an Emergency Medical Technician by Texas Department of Health. He has been accepted into the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program and completed two of the four classes required.
Chief Blesing and his wife live in Cedar Park and have four grown children and one grandchild. Chief Blesing’s son is a firefighter for the City of Dallas, and two daughters that teach for the Leander Independent School District, and one daughter in college aspiring to become a nurse.
