Brushy Creek Sports Park is now the home of Cedar Park's first skate park. City Council approved the final design of the skate park on July 9, 2009. The park took about 6 months to complete once construction began. Some details include:

 

• Custom designed, concrete in-ground skatepark
• Approximate Size: 15,000 sq ft
• Grand Opening date: Saturday, June 26^th
• Features: Mini Bowl, Large Bowl, modern street course
• Special features: Coloring, textures, shade and landscaping
• SPA Skateparks & New Line Skateparks are the Design/Build Team
• Design is based on Input received from skateboarders during two (2) design workshops and an online forum
• 300K is the current project budget for skate elements. $550K will be the project budget for skate elements, landscape and lighting.
