The Media and Communications Manager serves as the chief liaison between City Hall/City Council and the public. The Media and Communications Office is responsible for the creation, dissemination and circulation of City news, promotion of Cedar Park in the media, and management of the government access cable channel, City website and social networking outlets. Other responsibilities include photography for special events, advertisement design and placement, creation of publications, marketing and branding.

 

The Media and Communications Office continues longstanding tradition of excellence, most recently earning a 2011 Bronze Telly Award and a Texas TAMI Silver Star Award from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers and a 2011 Bronze Telly Award, which is an international industry award, for a video public service announcement for the City's annual "Keen on Clean" household hazardous waste pickup.
